THE ESSENTIAL

Documents (EU): passport and visa.
Mandatory vaccines: yellow fever and treatment (vaccination record).
Recommended vaccines:

  • universal vaccines (DTCP, hepatitis B)
  • typhoid fever, hepatitis A meningococcal meningitis (in case of prolonged stay in close contact with the local population) rabies disease
  • preventive anti-malaria treatment (strongly recommended).

Best season : from November to February (dry season), especially in January-February the temperatures are milder.
Direct flight time from Paris: about 6 hours 45 minutes.
Time difference: -1h from March to October (summer time in France), no time difference the other months (winter time).
